I am a full time graduate  student, I   had also the green card but I am doing the work with cash because I could not find the work that pay me check .So will there be any problem for me working in cash......................

How about total tax file becomes zero at the end of year ,will this matter ,but still paying the tuition fee for the colleges........

You can file tax no matter how you get money. Once you get money over 400 dollars you have to file as self employments and you will be ended paying equally the same amount if you were paid over the table job. Now you do not have any withheld either federal or state, if you owe more than 1000 dollars in the cash work while filing tax , will be paying penalty.

Now your question is if you are not filing tax because you do not have w-2 form , is that going to be a problem on your citizenship? I guess it will not. If you have to prove your income for the all years, then think of working over the table.


 

Why do people cheat the system? Its just insane. I have no pity for those working on cash and utilizing federal benefits. 

It's not, my fault it's those who donot give me check I asked them a lot of times for this but they are not willing to pay me check .So, at last end of year I will get only tuition fee forms so not the w2 forms so how this can work with me................

of course, look for jobs who pay you in pay checks. working in cash is cheating IRS which is illegal. report the employer to the IRS and labor department as soon as possible. as a legal resident of the USA you have some obligation.if you were a student i could understand your situation, but you hav e a green card. don't be a bitchh and shit on the same plate you eat from.

Do not be tough on this dude. I have a nephew who has computer degree from Pulchowk Campus, choose to work at Gas Station (Citizens of US), he has to deal with his situation and you have to deal with yours.
