I am looking for Gopal (Gopi) Singh. I recieved a call from Nepal today saying his mother has become blind and she is desperately trying to find her son who has not called her in 2 years. Last she had heard from him was from Sacramento, California. If anyone from Sacramento or anywhere else know where he is or about his contact information please please please e-mail me.

At least give some details as to where she lives. Then, probably it will be easier for people to identity him.

I really don't think police should be involved in this situation it might freak him out or upset him.

I tried calling both above numbers plus few other numbers i came across unfortunately i only got voice mails so i left messages but no one has called me back.
Maybe someone has seen him at a Nepali gathering or something. I heard he is married to an American. Someone may have seen him or talked to him. Any information will be highly appreciated.

May be I am too cynical, but I am getting the sense that the 'person of interest' being 'googled' in Sajha is not for genuine but for some other reasons.

What makes u say a mean thing like that? what purpose would i have??? I know that woman's husband, older son and mother all passed away in last 4 years and now she has become blind due to glaucoma and all she has is this so called son who doesn't even bother to call her.
If u had heard the pain in her voice and if u had heard her crying then i am sure u would be doing the same thing that i am doing.

Guest4 and mean words, haha.. come on Jenny, there is no way to tell the credibility of this kind of posting. Anyway, you sound real. So called his son, who has not called her for 2 years..hmm may be he is in truble otherwise why is not he in touch. It is unlikly
that this kind of person is listed in directory. Do you know his wife's name? or is it possible to find out who had he married with from county or city clerk recorder and
search through her name? If you really really want to help, may be you should hire a private ditective.Anyway, you are at right place and getting some feedbacks. You should focus in Sacramento area and I guess you don't live there, otherwise it could be helpful to meet and ask around some permanet Nepalese over there.

I was hoping that I would be both wrong and right: wrong in the sense that you were genuinely looking for the person, and right in the sense that the mother was not blind and all this was something some silly soul made up to get hold of the person.

I hope you find the person soon.

I am in Sacramento and I know a big Nepali community almost more than 60% people who live in sacramento and I can also ask to other whether they to GOPI....Give me the detail...home in Nepal and occupation....
BTW..SINGH G::: there are lots of Panjabi in sacramento.....

I think his age is between 35-40. He is from Jawlakhel, Lalitpur. He may be married to an American woman. He moved to Sacramento from Texas in 2000 i think and he used to work at an indian's gas station at that time, I called that gas station (916-451-4200) and at first the indian guy said he doesn't know any Gopal (Gopi) Singh and later he says he doesn't work there anymore and he has moved to west Sacramento and he has no contact information. He was not very helpful and i know he is lying about not knowing Gopi's phone number or address but unfortunately since i am not in Sacramento I can not go there physically and talk to him.

I am running out of options I feel so sorry for the mother and i feel so helpless. I don't want to involve the police coz that may make the situation even worse.
