Nepali Saanjh presented by Surahi or Anita Thapa, singlehandedly, was a wonderful success. Nepalese from all walks of lives were there to celebrate Nepali New Year 2063 and almost all were thanking for the fact that they were Nepalese as they get to celebrate more than just one New Year. Local New York artists were controlled, with not many performing. Karma Band from the Lone Star of Texas just got everyone to dance. MC was not only good but pretty too. The famouse Fire Department of NY (FDNY) visited us too as we were TOO many in numbers.. but hey, many got left out because they didnt' have tickets... ALL IN ALL, A GREAT NIGHT. What did you think, NYkers?

Let's give dues where it belongs Unwritten Karma gets a B+ for trying to involve the crowd. They didn't have any original songs, but yet entertained the crowed with remixes and other songs, that's what counts. The MC gets an A for doing what she was supposed to do. Didn't see the cultural show, so can't comment on that. DJ gets a D for not playing enough Nepali music in NEPALI PARTY@@@@@ Organizer gets a C. Good points: Good food, well organized tables (although not enough) and good environment. Bad points: How the heck can you oversell tickets?? Is it a sajha bus? You cannot just ask people who came out for break to stay there in frigid cold (it actaully was) just coz the room exceeded the fire code count. DJ had stop quick, where is the bang for buck? Just not very well organized. Hope they learn from this.

"Frigid Cold" re? Guess you were one of the few who didn't have a jacket on or wearing mini skirts. I did notice some young girls, quite skimpily clad, huddling themselves shivering.
