A Nepali student committed suicide by jumping off a bridge in San Francisco, United States of America on Wednesday.
Identified as Sanjit Bhatta, a native of Parasi Bazaar, Nawalparasi, he had been living in Bay area of San Francisco, California. He jumped off the Richmond–San Rafael Bridge.
Bhatta, who was also an Uber driver, had left home for work after eating the food prepared by his mom, a family source said.
Shortly after he left the home, one of Bhatta’s friends informed the family members after he saw a suicide note. In the suicide note, Bhatta wrote that he was depressed with his life and going to commit suicide by jumping into the sea.
Bhatta, who had completed his study from Contra Coast Community College, was preparing to join the Sate University of San Francisco.
The body of Bhatta was recovered at around 2 am after the witnesses informed the police. The final rites of Bhatta will be performed on Friday.
