After this USCIS notice on relief measures for Nepali nationals, can I go Nepal on OPT ? I have my OPT expiring on August and visa already expired long time back.
Does anyone have any information regarding it ? I called USCIS and their answer was very generic.

If I were you, well, I'm in the same situation as you are. Anyways, I wouldn't take chances at this moment. They didn't even give us the TPS status, maybe because we have a different skin tone than President Obama and most of us practice a different faith than he does. I'm not saying if there was a different President things would have been different, I don't know. But, coming back to answer your question, even I want to go back home and see my parents once and check how they are doing. But, under these circumstances, I believe calling them and having longer conversations (daily, if possible) might alleviate the pain to some extent.

Jai Nepal!!

@ghintang, OF course, their answer is generic because Relief Measures is Nothing else but to make filing, request any other immigration process to make smoother.

THATS why We Resident Nepalese in US want you to have TPS, which is better solutions to all Nepalese brothers and sisters, legally or illegally residing in US.

NOw you know, why I posted thread on TPS as soon as the disaster happened in NEPAL.

We are still calling senators to put pressure on WH to grant TPS to our Nepalese in US.

Sala hepera diyecha, relief package ni!!! There is no use of that uscis relief list for Nepalese. There is nothing new on that list. I do not think they will authorize TpS to us. I heard for the authorization of TPS, Nepalese government also have to request to US government , if so our govt is not giving shit to us. Meanwhile U.S. government is also trying to avoid this issue. Sala bhrasta desh ko garib janta lai Sab lay hepcha!!!!

Dude! Sorry to say this but You cannot go to NEPAL on your OPT. It is only possible under TPS. Relief measures is nothing but to expedite USCIS processing for Nepalese Nationals. You might fall under priority if you already applied for H1.
On another note, Relief measures is what US government providing to bypass TPS, clearly
