I am an accounting major and working full time in a CPA firm. I am thinking of sitting for CPA exam soon. But due to full time job , kids and family, I am not able to study and focus on it. Could anyone share their experiences and how you handled it. Its a challenging test with 18 months window. Thank you

hi pari kanchi, i'm also thinking about taking CPA test. Get Wiley cd if you can, that's the best source for CPA preparation, little expensive but worth buying.

I am also preparing for the CPA exam. Taking BEC in November. Ruchi, how can you say that the Wiley CD is the most expensive, while it is the cheapest that is available. Becker is the most expensive and is most recommended my big 4. Anyways from my part the best way to prepare for it is to make a schedule and stick to it. A lot of folks who have kids and work full time have crossed the huddle, so you will be fine. Stick to your schedule and don't procrastinate would be my advice.
All the best.
I am preparing using the Yaeger homestudy, and wiley book and CD.

I am glad that it made you laugh. But still comparatively it is still the cheapest available. Thanks for the good luck.

Hi friends, I am also using Wiley CD and books and these materials are the best considering the fact that becker materials are quite expensive.I passed 3 papers recently and going to write final paper in October. @ pari kanchi-- I read somewhere that if one has good accounting background-- 80 hrs in FAR 70 hrs in REG 60 hrs in AUD 50 hrs in BEC is suffice. Do your duty leave the rest to almighty god

It is not hard to sit for CPA exam. I am already done with my CPA in Janaury 2009. I hardly studied for it but passed with good scores. BECKER is highly recommended. If you go through the lectures, quizes and final exam practice, you are sure to score more than 80%. Go through all the questions in becker CD. Please review this link as this is a free CPA review site but I am not sure how effective it is- http://cpareviewforfree.com/. Let me know if you need any help regarding preparation.

I have a cd for all 4 and willing to sell $40. It was for 2008. My friend bought for 200, trying to get the money and he quit. If you are interested in.

To: Guruganapati I work in tax department , but I have few friends they got CPA from other states and they are working in Minnesota. New legislation has passed about the mobility of cpa license, that might help us to work any other state as listed by them.
