Does anyone have an idea or know any professional wedding photographer in Kathmandu? Contact info, website or email would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Now a days you can borrow or rent a DSLR fully equipped or Galaxy or Iphone pad, any one who has been to wedding process ( knows when to take snaps ) can be a photographers. You can choose some of them for your photo frame and ask to edit.
Most of the time the crowd does not let the photographer to take picture from a right angle, pushed away.

Few suggestions :

1. Go with a pro that specializes in wedding photography and make sure you've gone through their portfolio/samples.

2. Don't cheap out by looking for "deals" but at the same time, don't let them know that you live abroad.

3. Try to make sure you and he are on the same page while discussing business. Apparently, a ton of Nepali "professionals" like to work in "gray area". They give you subtle hint about what they're going to do, but the output is far less - both in terms of overall output and quality, than discussed matter unless specified.

4. Don't pay full amount (the second half) until you've seen final products. The final output might be totally different than the samples.

5. Apparently, there's a common norm of asking you for your budget, clearly reflecting their cluelessness on this matter. I was utterly surprised and shocked with the tendency. Like you try to hire freelancers and pros and they'll start asking what your budget is. That is a trap and don't fall for that shit. Be specific with what you want and ask what he's going to charge you.

6. Lastly, it's a bit of a cliche but there's a saying, "you get what you paid for". In Nepal, it's worse. You might not even get what you paid for. And you can't drag them to court. Even if you could, it might not be worth it.

I had my project (fashion related) done by a professional who was quite thorough and I was pretty satisfied.
