I understand the outcry by fellow posters against the OP's post. The way it is written (by somebody else) and posted (by OP) do sound a little out of line.
But, I have heard this thing before. Muna Madan, I believe, was based upon some old Nepal bhasa song about a guy going overseas for labor. The text quoted in the original post sound like the exact line from that song. Now, did Laxmi Prasad translated the whole Nepal Bhasa song? I don't know.
There was a discussion about similar thing in Sajha a while back. I think Rahulvai might have some insight on this; I am not sure if it was regarding Muna Madan or some other epic by the Mahakavi. This accusation is not entirely baseless.

The accusation might not be entirely baseless, heck Devkota might have plagiarized it all, I have nothing against that.

But since the source was not cited and the way the original poster's comment ended in malice, I am led to believe that it is Ashishme who is always up for such evils.

But then, I guess I need to take my words back, forgiveness is in the air in sajha.

While it is possible that Laxmi Prasad might have plagarized few verses or took inspiration from old Nepal bhasa story, I didnot like the tone with which the poster has vented out his feelings.

Besides when you make accusation please back it off with sound source and reference.

As a kid, I actually have heard something along the line but then no solid proof was ever provided.

 The problem with this kind of accusation is it flares up the tinder of falsehood.

By reading some of the subsequent replies to this thread it is apparent that many of us are already led to believe that something suspicious did occur "Maybe Devkota did......" Did Devkota have the need for plagiarism? This is the person who was able to dictate 12 different stories with 12 different plots/twists in one night. I know this has been discussed before.

Read this excerpt. It's totally worth every second of your life :). Besides, you'll get to know another gem: Shankar Lamichane (hopefully he didn't plagiarize the following;))
