Try renew from Illinois, Washington or California state.

It depends on the state. If you entered your SS while making the liscence you can try renewing online or through mail. When I renewed mine, I wasnt asked for any i20. This was in MA. They dont have a way to check the validity of  thing. Just take your old one. No one will find out. What you can do is scan the third page and then put the extention date on the page in photoshop and sign it. Its just bored people working there anyways. If you are not successful one time, go to another branch. Dont fuss too much.
One more thing, In texas you can mail the renewal if you are currently out of state and cant be there phycically. There is info somewher at Dmv website. Have your friends somewhere out of state get the mail.

@maxpayne:thanks for reply. When did you renew your license in MA? was it out of state? unfortunately in texas, we have to show proof of US citizenship or lawful presence even when renewing my mail. also, my i-20 has a expiration date of 2013. the only probelm is status.

This was instate. If you have a i30 valid until 13 then how will they check the status? Try renewing it in person first. I know people in Wylie, Tx who renewed without SS and they were illegal too, but this was 4 years back. If they ask abt the visa tell them about DS status for students.

 I would find someone in the State if Washington to help me in thes case.  Find someone who lives
in place like Seattle WA. And request them if they will let you use their address. Its very easy to make drivers license 
in WA. All you need is ur current drivers license (expired will work)and Social security card. U dun need Any proof of residency or I-20 or visa or i94.
