i am on F1 status and want to convert to H1B visa this april through an agent. However i dont have a clue to any good agent in the city. i am in virginia currently. i have friends who previously converted their visa to H1b through an agent but apparently their agents werent so good and they are still jobless or even if they are assigned to some job, its in weird places for a month or so.
can anyone suggest any good h1b visa agent in the area who are reliable?

Damn! H1B has become like a piece of document that you can purchase in market. H1B agent!!! Purchase it through "good agent" / "bad agent"... Anyways, if you're trying to find a company who will offer you a job and sponsor you H1B, go to www.sulekha.com

this might sound arrogant but have you tried looking for jobs on ur own?????? what ever be ur major there are 100s of jobs in US...i think its worth looking for them b4 going to so called agents.
Maya .... there are companies who are willing to sponser ur work visa ..to be honest all u need is a great cover letter and good interview

companies here mostly sponsor h1b only if u are on OPT..i dont have opt till now..will get it only in Oct..due to personal reasons i need to get h1b in april itself..thats why am seeking good agents for it..i know there are loads in sulekha..m asking for some referral of good agents in the area if any...
or if anyone knows any company which sponsors h1b directly from f1 visa status please suggest...have completed masters in electrical and communications
