Just wondering that it has been 3yrs since the original iphone came out and yet there are nothing better than that. I mean there are androidm windows phone, plam but even though they are nice they still cannot compete with iphone. I am looking to upgrade my phone and wanted to try something else on some other networks than AT&T but no luck. AT&T customer service sucks but I guess none of the other major carriers offer better plan, or deals. If you are going to spend the extra $30 for the data plan, I see no other better alternatives to iphone. Do you guys agree?

nokia has much better phones at much less cost. and then there is blackberry. apple is not innovative it just put an i in front of everything it makes

I agree with the suggestions that you guys put. But still for internet browsing purposes, iphone is still better. I have used all of the ones mentioned. For Nokia, one can get unlocked for an upfront cost and dont have to pay extra for the data plan.

Do you guys think that the data plan option is worth it? I mean how often would you use internet on a phone while outside of the wifi area for normal/average person?

Rational bro, get HTC Hero through Sprint or wait for HTC Evo, that sprint is bringing out pretty soon. EVO is going to be the revolution in the cell phone industries in U.S. It's the America's first 4G phone..and also i bet you that you will save huge amount of money on data than what you are paying to AT&T.

Nokia phones are pretty good, but I've had problems with tmo on my unlocked nokia. the mms that i recieve are shrinked to 4kb images. its a problem with tmo, dunno abt the other carriers.

I don't know why you would say iPhone is  better for web browsing compared to other phones. Have you really (and I meant really) tried Nexus or HTC Droid (don't know about motorola)? They have super resolution and a very high speed interenet even when wifi is not around. Also, contrary to the popular ad, you CAN make a call while browsing provided there is wifi.

iphone is better only because of the apps it has and now because more than 2 millions devices are around the world including itouch, ipad and iphone that can run the apple apps, I think its better to start thinking about developing apple apps for these devices if you are into programming...if u sale your app for 1$, 10000 out of 2 millions download will give you 10000 dollars.

Apple will make iPhone available through Verizon and other carriers later this year or early next year.  Furthermore, Apple is updating its iPhone/iPad OS in 3rd quarter this year.
