can someone give me some suggestions?
My OPT is going to be over on May 25, 2007, and I know that I will have 60 days either to leave the coutry or to go for masters. I want to go for master's but my class will get started only on August 28, which is more that 3 months away from the day my OPT gets over. I am wondering if it effects my F1 status if i start classes after 3 months i finish OPT even i get my new I-20 within 60 days. OR i will have to go for summer class to maintain my status. Can someone shed some light in this regard. I will really appreciate.

if you can get I 20 for fall and transfer your sevis no to new school before that grace period expires, you will be fine. you dont need to take classes in summer. hope this helps.

Check out Kaplan, GRE classes. They issue I-20 for the shortest time being.

hey NepalBabu. i am having similar problem. My got enrolled in summer classes but my I-20 expired 3rd of this month. So i contacted Kaplan. now they are issuing me new I-20 for 6 months. But i think they only issue I-20 for these states/cities.

Kaplan is very easy to deal with and very fast. If you apply this coming monday and submit everything by tuesday. I am sure you will get new I-20 by Friday.
