What happens if you lose your username but you still know the password on windows XP?
Does it work if you put Administrator as the username and the password you know?

Username and password go hand in hand. It does not work if you forget one or the other.

No, I actually kinda lost my windows XP USERNAME but I remember the password !

how do you lose username? you don't type a username on XP, username is saved, all you do is click on username and type password.

man, you have some weird ass computer problems all the time!

The user name of the last person logged on is always there by default, if you cannot click on your user name.

well, how as in i am not asking HOW!!! how as in how in the world can you lose username! its saved. if you have an account in XP, then you have username, click start, click log off, and click switch user. see how many account names you see!

hey stupid, how can I go to start when I can't even log in to windows. I had changed the username last time and I can't remember what it was. And only the previous one's saved, the one before the username I changed.

wow, people seem really dumb when it come to computers. if you changed it and its not there means, the change wasn't successful obviously! where else would it go? hiding around the corner for you to scratch the monitor and bring it back up?

OMYYYYYYYYY, what you talking about, forgetting my USERNAME doesn't mean I HAVE to throw my PC away, OMG and after all, what about all my datas and stuff thats in the comp?? I'm not being cheap, i love my computer and BTW I remembered my username.. sorry for bugging.. I am on my very own PC now :D.. feel great loll :).. now I dont have any problems with this PC eEXCEPT the CD DRIVE.. still woont work :(..
