Buddhwata is the true nature possessed by all beings, which allow each of them to be like Buddha. In this regard, Buddhwata is the self-realization of the inherent harmony of self and others. The way she talked and dunno whom she was expressing her feelings in an apologetic tone was enough for me to validate that what she uttered(buddhwata) was actually meant for.

And, I think I've at least read about 4-5 homeless Nepalese people in Newyork alone, I dunno about other states.
But if you check the interview again, I don't think she's talking about Nepalese homeless rather homeless as a whole in the country considered as the dream land by thirdworlders. Personally, I was shocked to death to see homeless people when I first came here, that was far thought from my reality. She probably got the same culture shock.

I like what bittertruth said. she came from a celebrity life in Nepal and observed some working life in the usa while she lived a month as a guest. working life is not easy in Nepal either. but thats her observation and she's very honest and i like that.

Agreed that most nepali people struggle here but that doesn't mean there aren't other Nepalese folks out here who are doing pretty good. Remember, we don't have a very long history and heritage here in the US but from what I can see, we are doing a lot better in relatively short span of time. In about a decade or so, I bet there will be plenty of Nepalese here in the US with good status and quality of life. Poor rekha thapa.....if she had not gotten a chance to be Nepali Heroin she would probably have become a Mao fighter and she probably would have been killed in one of wars.

Rekha Thapa is not your superstar. She is superstar to majority of less informed, low expectation, and average Nepali. She is the only star in Nepal whose movie makes money because of her stardom. You might not like her acting and her intellect level might be far inferior than yours but she is still the biggest star in Nepal and she is addressing the interview to her viewers. This interview is not for people who have gotten education and know the world little more than average. Its for people who have 10 grade and lower education and mostly work in Gulf countries. She is poor man's star and she is addressign them. Its quite not a good match for some on sajha living in the first world with some kind of educational background to make fun her life style.
