When is Prashant going to learn about SONG CHOICE? His rather unintelligent song choices are undermining his performances. Litereally, there are hundreds of Kishore Kumar songs (keeping in mind he's going to sing a kishore kumar song in the coming gala) that are much more melodios and pleasant to hear. I tell you people right now..if he continues his poor song choice, he'll be the next to follow pooja and deepali.
Prashant is a good singer. I wouldn't daresay he's the best but he is good. Has a good voice and personality but seriously, his song choices suck big time.
I agree with folks who think Prashant should be careful in choosing songs. I know as long as he gets more votes than the one who gets the least he will advance regardless what he sings or how he sings. However when he nails a popular songs, he will have more voters on his side.
I am not sure but I think most of the voters are young. So, he should focus on popular new songs and do the best justice he can to the songs . Singing some superb songs from Suraiya's time may impress judges or a certain group of people but they won't vote so they don't count for now. He can sing whatever he wants later when/if he wins the title. Now, he should be focusing on one thing -- "Votes".
I somehow think Puja, Deepali, and many of the gone singers were better than Prashant. But the fact is they are gone and he is still there. Yes, thanks to the voters but he should not rely too much on his existing loyal voters--he should be harvesting support from new voters too. If not he will be back in those streets of Kolkata dragging stick wearing khaki. I want to see him as an Indian Idol not as same old Gorkhe sepoy. He has the chance to rise, and shine and I hope he ceases the opportunity.
The show started wid all the contestants alisha anu and udit dancin on a few disco songs there was no celeb judge this time
the first one to sing was Chang and he sang om shanti om the judges were totally floored by his singing they all said it was flawless
then it was Prashants turn he sang ek haseena thi the judges didnt like it much they thought he needs to improve cos he didnt match chang's std and chang has raised the bar of the competition
third was Amit and he sang some old not so popular song called "pyar aaya" something i dont really rem the song properly cos i have never ever hrd it.. the judges again praised him and said tat he was on par wid chang's performance and javed saab said tat he was a gift to the hindi film industry..
fourth was Emon he sang saara zamaana judges liked it but thought he couldve done better and his pronunciations were worng at some places
fifth was Ankita she was looking nice in a red outfit and she sang aap jaisa koi all the judges just loveddd her song and thought it was sang in ankita's own style and she introduced her own rendition they all siad tat now the hopes of havin a female indian idol are in her hands..
the show ended wid all the contestants performing wid taufiq quereshi..
Well since the GALA 9 was about disco theme, Prashant should have choosen the song "I am a disco dancer" and perform some dance step too ........but well since last time he got some stupid comments that his song was easy, the poor guy must have gone searching for some challenging difficult dance song ....and ended up with this not so appealing one ....but anyway....he will sing it best i guess......forget about the judge comment.....we would definately like it
Prashant is a good singer, we all love him but with this kind of performance he might have lots of difficulties to proceed a head! We all know that PUJA, DEEPALI were better singer than him. As DEEP bro mentioned above he should not solely depend on his loyal voters.
ITS time to PERFORM otherwise.......TOP 5 is enough!!!
He should win and also he has to think seriously about his performance/song selecteion. and JAVED budho should give posetive comments about him.
Im supporting him becoz he is NEPALI......!!! Ive never cared about his voice/singing/personality/performance coz when I start watching the SHOW, one thing in my mind was HE WAS REPRESENGING WHOLE NEPALI and still I like him like before BUT BUT..... if he wins with this kind of performance its not going to be good..........we all want like YE HOSLA and RIND POSH MAAL type perfomance then EMON ra AMIT ko baau aye pani kehi chaldaina...

Amazing I agree with you. I also don't care about citizenship in this globalised world now. We Nepalese are everywhere carrying all sorts of passports. I never watched Indian Idol before in previous years. I am particularly interested now coz of Prashant. I support him and I feel proud to say that he's a Nepali.
