I cannot understand why we love to hate India and Indians so much? India have been a little too oversmart in the past with sikkim and bhutan, but is that a reason enough to be judgmental about them?

If we look upon indians here in US, I find most of them very friendly and honest. In fact, one of my very best friends happen to be an Indian. There are certain things which I still don't like about them, but keeping those petty reasons apart, I don't see any major reason why we need to hate and diss them.

India are one of the fastest growing economies in the world at present with one of the oldest democracies as well, Nepal have a lot to learn from them in both respects.

I was once asked by an indian, "I have heard that you guyz hate us, is it true? Why so? " I did not have valid reasons to answer him.

Of course, there have been dubious acts by them in the past, like in the case of Tanakpur, but thanks to out own leaders. We know how are our own leaders, rite? Plus, if they try to act smart with us in the future (like they did with Sikkim and Bhutan) aren't we good enough by now to KICK their a$$?


So what's the point in hating them like hell????

we are a small country, that too landlocked and surrounded by them, so our policies have to be dependable upon them to a great extent. Our trade, economy won't prosper without them, that's a bitter truth.

Unfair 1950 treaty and the likes have a lot to do with our own leaders too. We did not have (still don't have) Nehru and Indira to compare their leaders vision and cleverness.

I don't agree that they would be able to invade us at any time in the future, coz we have BIG china above us and that turns around the equation with india in our favor.

It is funny how there are so many anti Indian threads about conspiracy, invasion, imperialism and yadayadyada...And all of a sudden there are threads right below them about people needing help to join Indian Consulting Companies that help get H1B for IT and other sectors...The irony is that folks want india to stay away from Nepal affairs but, Nepalese are depending on their assistance from the homeland all the way to the US in various capacities, nothing wrong in getting help, but why the arrogance and hatred towards India?

Your statment is correct to some extent but hatret that I have seen from Nepalese towards indian people is extreme let alone the government policies comes afterwards. This is provoking Indians alot and this may cost Nepalese heavily in the end. As India is becoming one of the most powerful country in the south asia. It is better not to mess with powerful nations and its people or else nepal would end up like Iraq.

By adding few more points , the reasons to hate Indians.

HERES MY TAKE
Most Indians think that we a primitive mountain people living in extreme poverty , thached roofs over heads cut out from mordenization ,completely depending on Indian Goverment for food, shelter and all our daily needs. They also compare our people to the Gorkhas manning their doors and Prostitutes sold to the sex slave markets In India.
Indians Have their own strange belief to be the best in the whole world in every aspect.
They do have certain things that they can be proud of but in my point of veiw it was done by the Britishers before leaving......I mean they had a good early start of avantage.........Railroads, Industries, Roads, Education, etc etc..........
Personally I do have good educated Indian friends who think highly of Nepal Because they have a good Knowledge, During the course of my life I have met so many Indians...SO F**king many of them who just have this self appointed superiorty and so called "i am great" attitude that I hate their guts for that and the funny thing is that all my friends here in Boston NON NEPALI (AMERICANS, CHINESE, FRENCH, AlBANIANS etc etc ..hate Indians too and make fun of them a lot. But one thing is for sure. I hate the Indian Goverment with great committment.........................
