I don't know for sure, but i think those cops are executing that dog because it might have done something horrible or it is infected with Rabis or something. But I am sure there might have been some better ways of dealing with the situation than slaughtering it in broad daylight in front of dozens of public.

@ Rethink,
You are contradicting yourself again. You are appealing for objective morality,
appealing to compassion, mercy. These are guided and purposeful moral
values contrary to evolution.
By condemning the cruelty in this video, you are implying some moral values should be universal
and objective. You are not looking and walking, that is why you keep falling down.
You keep running around in circles.

@feedom2012: Are you freaking serious? STFU. If you want to discuss god, go to the God thread. Don't pollute every thread with your stupidity.

Animal cruelty is not just a third world problem. This is how the Juicy Burger is made. The burger that is made by Americans who are Christians and are enjoyed by newly converted Christians like Freedom2012.
I hate animal cruelty but what i hate more is when people portray it as third world problem.

rethink bro
If you believe in God, rethink its God's will. Animals are tortured all over the world, its something we cannot control. There are people out there who will never stop doing it.
Somebody said life is so pupular still being overrated. I always thought this was so true.

Still our "maar hanne" way of slaughtering animal is the most human way to kill the animal. The head is seperated in a fraction of a second and all the vains between the brain and the body is seperated at the fraction of a second. The animal feels least amount of pain that what Muslims and Christians do during animals slaughtering.
There used to be a saying that if the head is not seperated in one strike the animal was supposed to be impure. They encouraged animal to be seperated in one strike.

The cruelty to animals is the worst kind of cruelty because the poor animals cannot even defend themselves. They are killed mercylessly. I've seen cruelty to humans but skinning animals alive is way too cruel.
It does not have to be that way. The animals could be killed in more humane ways.
It points to the jungle lifestyle where animals are eaten alive by other animals which is also a very cruel way to die. But, it does not suit us humans to kill helpless animals by giving them such pain.
Humans are tilting the balance of nature way too much with their greed. The ecosystem is being ignored by human beings in their greedy ways. The tree gives fruit. The man can co-exist with the tree but the man becomes too greedy and starts cutting the tree for wood blinded by greed. In his greed he doesn't realize sometimes that he is cutting the same branch that he is sitting on.
In todays corporate greedy world, it is not possible to even hope for these things to end. In fact things will get even worse because the greed will keep getting worse. Mankind is hurtling down a slope of self destruction guided by few misguided resourceful dimwits who abuse human emotions to further their own cause of unlimited greed.
Old Jeans bro it is easier for people with faith in God to attribute everything to god's will and live everyday like things are all fine and dandy, but for those who want to focus on present reality, the reality is sickening and gruesome, and you can only attribute the ground reality to the ever increasing greed that is promoted and made to look normal by the media and corporations for whom we toil our everyday lives.

"Animals being skinned alive. Where is God in the picture? Where is the morality?"
Rethink's conclusion after watching these videos ---- "There is no God"
Normal general conclusion -----"Men is evil, greedy and cruel"
Anyways i just read your last post and have given it a thumbs up for being a logical conclusion.
I hope your next thread is not "I am having diarrhea. Where is God?". You seem to want to blame god for everything.

Freedom you are so predictable.
The reference to God and morality was for your benefit so you could come drag your bruised ego from the other thread and try to get some consolation here. I knew you would stoop low enough to ignore the main issue of animal abuse, and start to blow your own trumpet on and on about your imaginary god.
Great Job there. You did not disappoint anyone. But, let's try to stick to one thread on the god discussions shall we? That is, if you haven't been burnt in there yet, if you want to make a second coming...
By the way, you talk of a thumb up like you did some great big favor. You need to get your priorities straightened. A thumbs up from a bible thumping fool does not mean anything, since even a thumbs up is all about yourself, not about the topic. It's about how generous you were to give one.

Let's put this animal abuse into a "Nepali" perspective:
"So, a dog shot and butchered by a bamboo stick in broad daylight is the most inhuman act inconceivable. Innumerable lambs and baby goats, slithered by the throat and sprayed as if it were a painting spray is....................umm sacrifice?"

Snurp more than 'nepali' perspective it's a dual paradigm from a civilized perspective.
On one hand we 'farm' animals to slaughter them mercilessly for meat and fur, and on another hand we have deep rooted sense of morality from our own experience and discovery to not do something upon others, including animals, that you don't want done onto yourself. We love our animals. Some of them exhibit the same emotions that small kids do.
We, the so called civilized humans, do not want to exert any pain on the animals, yet we party hard and eat meat. As long as we don't have to do the dirty work ourselves, it's considered fine, after all, animals would have met even more harsh end in the jungle by being eaten alive.
Perhaps what is needed is a system of creating meat whereby animals are grown up in a closed system where animals do not gain any consciousness, but only grow biger within the system, so we can use their meat to satisfy our hunger for meat. If you think about all the genetics that go on to ensure fat and plump chickens and other livestock, that kind of production cannot be ruled out. Ending the lives of unconscious animals might be a more palatable solution to us caring humans who despise doing onto animals that we don't want done to us. We are after all animals, with only difference being a developed language which allows us to communicate, think and feel.

Rethink,
I agree completely. Great points. I was merely reflecting upon our i.e. Nepali society's perception of what we deem inhumane or humane.
As for being humane to animals, there are already labs developing meats from stem cells --- I see a lot of future in that but it will take some time to come to market and humans to enjoy such "artificial" meat.
But I don't think we can live without meat entirely. Evolution suggests that if humans were not meat eaters, our brain wouldn't have developed to the extent and we certainly wouldn't have gotten enough calories from plant based diet to move around and poulate the world emanating from Africa.
