Hi there,

I will be travelling back home from the US. I really didn't want to have such an extended layover in London but couldn't help it as it was the cheapest ticket, after all.

I'm on a valid US student visa. I have my jigri friends in London who I want to meet since I will be there fore more than 15 hrs on my way home and more than 17 hrs on my way back. Do I require any visa or any permit to leave the airport for some hours?

Thanks

Yes you do. They do have the option of transit visa but it is difficult with nepali passport.
