how to make a nepali movie??? how much money do you need???

That I wonder my self, I have the script and the movie making idea, but I need a producer and an experienced director....

anybody need actor?

as far as i know and i have faced the nepali movie and media.Making a movie counts on different things.Here are a couple of things you will have to take in mind before making a movie.
1. the actors you chose and the amount you pay
2. the location you select
3. the camara and the light, crane you use and the manpower you use
4. director you select if you are not directing a movie
5. editor and other people you pay.

so these are the basic things you have to keep in mind to make a movie.
you can make a movie if you have a will and the power using your friends and a handy cam and a few friends acting for you . But what is the use of such a movie as it will not meet the standard and you will not have audience to watch the movie.

ok a minimum balance for a good nepali movie if in a hand of a good director can be done with around 20,00,000 within the territory of nepal.

20 lakh? so thats like $ 30-40K??

think how to make money not movie. think about financial freedom.

If you are really serious about it, I can introduce you with one of my friend who made a movie here in USA.
I think he spent some $150000 to make a Hindi movie called That game of Chess but I think this is not released yet. There is lot of work needs to be done once shooting is completed so you cant tell exactly how much it would cost unless you plan very carefully.
Like plz help me mentioned earlier, it depend on so many factor...

सर्वप्रथम Pre-Production मा पुरा समय दिनुहोस ! i mean for story,script,location choice,manpower (behind Camera) and Artists.but most important factor is story and the way u present it.otherwise it wont b any different than usual unsuccess nepali movie.one thing please remember nepalese cine industry is not even 25 % professional. so do not expect any support from film distributor, Theater owner,media and its own people and as well as film board.

*choose ur story and try to workhard on script. divide every single shot in paper before shooting.it will save ur lot finance
and time.make an idea about charector's dress up and mention basic idea under every shot.
*Research abt ur story,before start to writing script.
*do not go after so called popular artist..but u can find real artist anywhere..just try these few place , RatnaPark, Resturant and bars,Stadium, Goverment offices, Universities and schools and any where in street.bring ur director with u ...and give it one week to find artist, u will find real artist.

* i recommend u to cut songs in ur movie,its unnecessary financial burden.good movie doesnt need any songs but music is important fact, specially background music.

*u can hire one simple Graphic person and make a draft of all of urs shot prior to shoot them.it will give u an idea how ur shot will b and wht impact it will give to story.

*choosing the technical equipment depends on ur budget but i wud advise u to use high quality equipment than usual one.u can cutoff ur cost on other field and can add up here.

*Pre Production is much important than "On the spot -shooting stage" and post production - Lab works" so put ur efforts on first stage.75 % ur movie is complete in first stage.

*abt how much it cost - it depends on urs story and ur behavious as well.in nepali cine field there r real assholers thn the creative one. just average 25000 $ to 35000 $.

do not become murga of so called directors n technician.learn atleast basic skills before heading up there.

for satelite, can u tellme the names of the movies u worked on? u might just have been a clapman, but i wanna see how the production has been as a whole!! i am making a documentary here pretty soon and i need stories of people, i will post a new thread about it pretty soon, i hope people reply........look out for jungehaldar
