नेपाली कांग्रेसले जति दरबार र राजाहरुबाट धोका शायदै अरु कसैले पाएका होलान्। राणाहरुको लात खाई खाई आत्महत्या गर्ने स्थितिमा पुगेको नेपाली राजतन्त्रलाई ०७ सालमा फेरि अधिकार सम्पन्न बनाएको काँग्रेसले त्यसको भोलिपल्टबाटै दरबारको लात खान थालेको हो। ५५ वर्षसम्म अनवरत लात खाएर पनि कांग्रेस र विशेष गरी यसको संस्थापन पक्षको चेत जस्ताको तस्तै रहेछ भन्ने कुराको प्रमाण फेरि एक पटक गिरिजाले दिएका छन्। कांग्रेसले 'सेरेमोनियल' राजालाई राख्ने रे! भर्खरै मात्र शाही सत्ताले मारेका शहीदहरुको रगतमा कुल्चेर कुर्सीमा पुगेकाहरु कति सजिलै जनतालाई बिर्सन सक्दा रहेछन्?!
जनताले राजै नराख्लान् अथवा कस्तो राजा राख्लान्, यो त समयलेनै बताउला, तर मैले बुझ्न नसकेको कुरो भने, किन नेपाली कांग्रेस राजतन्त्रको धङधङेबाट मुक्त हुन नसकेको? किन जति लात खाएपनि सामन्ती लाशलाई काँधमा राखेर हिँड्न छाड्दैन? के काँग्रेसको संस्थापन पक्ष आफूलाई नेपाली सामन्ती अभिजात वर्गकै एक हिस्सा ठान्छ र राजतन्त्रको उन्मूलन भयो भने आफू पनि अस्तित्वविहिन हुने डर छ यस्लाई? के जनताले लडेको यत्रो लडाईँ, गरेको यत्रो बलिदान सामन्ती अभिजात वर्गको एक हिस्साको लागि थियो?
यस्तो लाग्छ बरु पशरा, सुबथा, लोबच आदि पञ्चेहरु समयको आवाज बुझेर गणतन्त्रवादी बन्लान् तर सबैभन्दा कट्टर राजावादी त बाँकी नै रहनेछन्- गिरिजा र काँग्रेसको संस्थापन पक्ष!
"सामन्तहरु, अभिजातहरु (आफूलाई ठान्नेहरु) नडराउ! कांग्रेसको घाँटी तिमीहरुसंगै जोडिएको छ!"

तर यहि बाटोमा हिँडे नेका अर्को प्रजापरिषद अथवा त्यो भन्दा पनि तलको स्तरमा पुग्ने कुराको हेक्का किन राख्दैन नेकाको संस्थापन पक्ष?

Ceremonial monarchy is far better in the context of Nepal than Killer Prachande's rule.

Neither King nor Prachande, Nepal should have democracy like America. Prachande should be treated as Killer, he doesn't deserve to be a political leader, he is dacoit leader that is worse than terrorist leader. Killing public and looting the property is his duty. I know Maoist has killed my friend's Dad so mercylessly, although he has not done any evil deeds......... If Prachande comes to the power then he will have worse situation than Gyanendra has now.

Moriatry has been speaking using Deuba's mouth since long. Yesterday, he also spoke using Girija's mouth, that's it. However, both NC and NC-Democratic's leadership should understand the fact that both their party cardes and well wishers are going to rebel against the decision, if this is the final one, of the leadership during CA election. I hope that NC will finally go for republican set up since it is such an important issue to be decided by Genaral Assembly members of NC, which is clearly against the ceremonial monarchy.

i think NC did the right thing.They should always oppose communist republicain agenda and try to engulf Nepal into communist regime.They are smarter than some people would understand.

While I am tempted to say Girija babu has gone senile, because that's what a part of me sometimes feels, I think the real issue here is the Congress can't seem to make up its mind on where it stands on the issue of Monarchy. I bet you there will be revisions and clarifications of this statement in the days to come. In my opinion, the Congress stands to gain from a republic for reasons I have explained in other threads, but they don't seem to see it that way.

i gurantee that there will be rebellion my army if that stance was not taken .GPK is very cautious about that.There are generations of chains in commands in Army who have pledge loyality towards the king.It is not easy to remove that .
If SPA had guts they would have removed Army chain of commands too.So,i think all the right and center force to oust leftist.

Genrations in RNA have pledged loyalty towards the Palace. And generations all over Nepal have have pledged loyalty towards the Palace. The King is there everywhere!

I see it with my eyes. I have talked to hundreds of families in 3 different cities and all of them want the King to be there!
Some of my peeps went to the villages (not in far West though) and the King enjoys equal support.

People know that the king is not the incarnation of Lord Bishnu, can not save the nation, and is not the symbol of unity as royalist used to potray. Therefore, the king could come up with the main and perhaps the only one agenda --"if there is no king, there is not Hinduism". However, Maoists knew it, so they forced SPA to remove "Hinduism" tag (remember that it was decided just before the House proclamation after Maoists excessively forced them to do that). Now the king has no important agenda at all.

There is no doubt that SPA has faults but you seem to be blind supporter of royals.
I think nepali public is aware how much they like King.Your yelling is not going to change anything.
