For security+, my recommendation is:
-CompTIA Security+: Get Certified Get Ahead: SY0-401 Study Guide by Darril Gibson
-CBT Nuggets videos and Practice Tests (These are great recourse if you have access)
-Learnzaap iOS Security+ app (if you use iPhone, iPad..i haven't used it on android though), This app is great and offers some short and long practice tests, flash cards etc, it is well $7.99 spent.
-Examcompass 12 Practice tests (http://www.examcompass.com/comptia-security-plus-practice-test-1-exam-sy0-401)
-Lynda.com or any other video resources and don't forget professormesser.com video course.
I suggest you to first read cover to cover Gibson's book then watch video and do practice tests, Security+ is not that easy test and many people find it hard to pass but with planned study and preparation, you can nail it.
